Election compass answers:
"I don't want to be a one or two issue candidate, because municipal and county representatives don't deal with just one or two issues."
It's best to look at things from different views, because the world is gray, not black-and-white.
The weakened economy foreshadows decisions that don't have clear and easy solutions. To give something can mean there's less for something else. Ideally the municipality and the county would have plenty of money. In an imperfect world, that's not the case. Balance is required. It's necessary to navigate midst dropping birth rates, aging population, declining infrastructure and other challenges in a way that allows as many as possible to be well.
Attention-seeking promises are used to further self-serving goals and won't benefit residents and those who need care. Quick-fix solutions can help in the moment, but they can be short-sighted. Long-term planning, clarity of mind and patience are also needed to build a lastingly better future. Let's build it together.

People use services, which makes providing them necessary and profitable. On the other hand, people leave, if services are inadequate. Within the limits of the economy, we must think of realistic means that bring more people and diverse services into the municipality.
People bring income to the municipality and customers to businesses. Businesses provide jobs and services. The economy is made stronger by making the municipality more attractive. We need more population growth, tourism and positive migration, where people settle into the municipality. They must be helped to stay healthy and get to work, school and treatment. Recreation and well-being matter. We must continue to implement means that make the municipality attractive for living, working, traveling, running a business and having hobbies. We must think of new ways.
Neighborhood, nature and culture are constituents in attraction. They increase health, happiness and opportunities. A bad environment causes people to move away. By taking care of the environment, we can secure the municipality's future.
Population, connections and industry need construction and land. We must assess the consequences carefully, when we try to match everybody's interests with the environment.
"I'm a humanistic financial realist, who cares about nature. In my ideal world, things can be improved for everyone, including nature and the planet. I shun one sided consideration of things."
The well-being services county is primarily funded by the state. Events in the world's and in Finland's economy are seen in the county. General prices and wages have risen faster than anticipated. Funding from the state lags behind, because the amount of funding is decided beforehand based on an estimate. The county is forced to save money.
The counties won't get more time to save – that message was given. The law requires counties to balance finances in a very strict schedule. Leniency would have allowed counties to find alternatives to closing down care facilities and laying off workers. A ward in the hospital of Forssa was shut down, and now it's harder to visit family members in care. Services are being cut, and care facilities move further away. It takes longer to transport patients, when distances are increasing.
The well-being county is prone to price increases in services it buys from private businesses, such as service housing and property rents.
The reimbursement for going to a private doctor was increased. Doctors' union says the change must be withdrawn, because it doesn't shorten treatment queues as intended. Its effect on queues has been very small. Instead, it pulls doctors away from the well-being county into the private sector. The county may have to pay even twice as much for outsourced work compared to its own workers.
The county must investigate, if it can use less outsourced work by planning activities and hiring and training workers. The workers' happiness must be evaluated and increased, the amount of work must be kept reasonable, and they must be allowed to influence their own work. Outsourced work should be used with consideration.
